EMILY ARMSTRONG
MSCPT, BSc (Psych)
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Emily completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy after having also completed a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Psychology, all at the University of Alberta. Through a variety of courses and workshops, Emily has completed additional training in pelvic health, amputee rehab, chronic pain, and manual therapy. At Pulse Physiotherapy, Emily offers pelvic health assessments and treatments.
Emily grew up playing soccer, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, running, and taking almost every type of dance class. She became increasingly interested in pursuing physiotherapy as a career when she realized how essential it can be for injury prevention and recovery. Her treatment style focuses on promoting self-efficacy by educating and empowering her clients to improve their pelvic health function.
Emily also works full-time at Foothills Medical Centre here in Calgary. Outside of work, she enjoys taking recreational ballet classes, has fun with very amateur landscape photography, and she loves to get outside while hiking and cross-country skiing.
