Brittney has experience in pediatrics, sports medicine, acute medicine (neurological and stroke rehab), and outpatient orthopedics. Outside of PT, she has over 20 years of professional-level dance training and performance experience. This has given her a deep understanding of the body and decades of experience with movement analysis and biomechanics, leading to thorough assessments and treatment plans as a PT.

Brittney has treated people of all ages and is passionate about helping people achieve their rehabilitation goals so that they can live their most meaningful lives. She approaches physio from a lens of holistic health, and her treatment plans include education, manual therapy, stretching and strengthening exercises, and injury prevention. It is important to her that each client feels heard, cared for, and receives an individualized plan that is tailored to their unique goals and abilities, whether they are aged 6 or 86.

With Brittney’s dance background, she has a special interest in working with athletes and promoting career longevity. She has experience rehabilitating youth and adult athletes in a wide range of sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, gymnastics, running, and dance. Brittney has worked with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City where she was involved in backstage treatment, injury prevention, pre-season screening, and health advocacy for the students and the professional company. She has also worked as the physiotherapist for the Alberta Ballet professional company, and with the professional dancers of Ballet Jorgen, and Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.

Outside of the clinic, she is certified as a multi-sport coach through the National Coaching Certification Program and has completed her RAD Advanced 2 Vocational ballet exam. Brittney has led various Mental Performance Skills and Injury Prevention workshops for athletes, teams, and coaches, including the Canadian National Dance Team. She is proud to be part of a research team based out of the USA that developed the first published return-to-sport concussion protocols for dancers.
